Overview

Flu-like syndrome refers to a collection of symptoms that resemble influenza but may be caused by various other conditions. These symptoms typically include fever, body aches, fatigue, and respiratory symptoms. While actual influenza is a common cause, many other infections and conditions can produce similar symptoms.

Common Symptoms

  • Fever and chills: Often sudden onset
  • Body aches and muscle pain: Generalized discomfort
  • Fatigue and weakness: Profound tiredness
  • Headache: Often severe
  • Sore throat: Scratchy or painful
  • Cough: Dry or productive
  • Nasal congestion: Stuffy or runny nose
  • Loss of appetite: Decreased desire to eat
  • Nausea or vomiting: More common in children
  • Sweating: Especially with fever breaks

Treatment Approaches
